Visual Merchandiser
 
Visual Merchandising Responsibilities
  • Working under the direction of the Visual Merchandising Manager & Team, following the direction of the store managers.
  • Prepare new stock and Merchandise stock on the shop floor reviewing brands and sourcing merchandising ideas. Also, being aware of suitable brand adjacencies – to consult with either the Buyers or Store Managers if unsure of this.
  • Above to include total shop change around.
  • Create appealing and eye-catching visual displays that lead the customer through the entire store.
  • Produce window displays, signs, interior displays, floor plans and special promotions display.
  • Dress windows and change products on the mannequin’s weekly.
  • Change displays to promote new product launches and reflect festive or seasonal themes.
  • Manage VM diary, use the weekly sell through report to aid with this planning process.
  • Ensure that all members of shop floor team are aware of all changes within the shop.
  • Shop floor cover to cover lunch times and specific days as and when required and agreed i.e. Christmas.
  • Providing assistance and customer service throughout the store.
  • To represent Landmark and Cavells with customers/suppliers in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Visual Merchandiser to increase sales, get buyer’s attention and to provide an excellent in-store experience.
  • The goal is to use visual merchandising to convert window shoppers into prospects, drive branding and sales objectives and maximize profitability.
  • To have an awareness of weekly sales and merchandise accordingly to maximise seasonal range performance.

 

Visual Merchandiser Requirements & Skills

  • Proven work experience as a Visual Merchandiser.
  • Demonstrable visual design skills.
  • Solid experience in field visual merchandising, including window displays, signs, interior displays and space utilisation.
  • Knowledge of current visual merchandising trends and best practices.
  • Creative and innovative thinker.
  • Ability to analyse sales merchandising reports and survey results and to merchandise accordingly to maximise seasonal range performance.
  • Strong customer service skill.
  • Excellent communication and customer care.
  • Excellent approach to customers and colleagues.

 

Job Type: Part-time, Fixed term contract

Salary: From £15,000.00 per year

Expected hours: 23.25 per week
