GOODS IN MANAGER
We are looking for a full time, well organised, self-motivated, and dynamic leader.

Experience in a goods in or a stock management is preferred but not essential. All candidates must be computer literate and have excellent excel skills.

  • Manage the swift and accurate stock processing and handling to maximise sales opportunity on the shop floor.
  • Stock Control
  • Day to day running of the office.

Reports to: General Manager

Key responsibilities & duties:

Stock Processing

  • Work with the buying team and IT Team (and contact suppliers where necessary) to gather required information to create items and purchase orders on our EPOS system at the time orders are confirmed.
  • Ensure deliveries are booked in and available to sell as a matter of priority within 24 hours.
  • Keep Budget and Order Confirmation files up to date.
  • Review and be aware of forward stock commitments.
  • Receive deliveries and book into our systems with the utmost accuracy.
  • Ensure that stock is fully prepared for sale and made available to the shop floor (and/or web) as soon as possible after delivery.
  • Work closely with buying team to manage seasonal stock swaps and top ups.

Stock Control

  • Carry out periodic stock checks of existing stock and manage a full annual stock check.
  • Manage the stock room areas to allow well organised, easy access to products.
  • Work with the IT team to provide adequate analysis of all store operations.
  • Carry out and manage stock takes

Returns

  • Manage Supplier and Customer Returns, ensuring the appropriate Returns procedure is followed.

Human Resources

  • To evaluate and manage the effectiveness of the back-office staffing.
  • To ensure that all back-office staff are appraised regularly and given adequate opportunity for self-development.

General

  • Work closely with the shop manager(s) and supervisors to ensure alignment towards the same goals.
  • Ensure Goods In area is kept clean and tidy and aware of the status of all stock being stored in that area.

Monthly Tasks:

  • Create Month End Reports – Stock Value, Margin by Department & Detailed Sales and send to Mercia and Cavells Management. These are time sensitive and need to be completed on the 1st of the month before shops are open for business.
  • Inform Finance Dept of stock variances.
 
 
 
FULL TIME SALES CONSULTANT
We require a bright, passionate and articulate fashion enthusiast, with a warm welcoming nature, to join our team and progressive business. The successful applicant will work across all departments at Cavells (Fashion, and Country) and will ensure our busy customer has a unique experience by selling our beautifully curated products and services in a way which leaves them feeling uplifted and inspired.
 
In order to be considered you must have excellent communication skills, have a flexible approach and be able to turn your hand to a variety of jobs daily. Excellent written and spoken English and numeracy skills are required.
 
Duties and responsibilities:
Providing support in all aspects of the business including:
  • Customer Service.
  • Sales Achievement.
  • Promotion of the company’s name and reputation
  • Communication skills.
  • Teamwork
  • Housekeeping and Maintenance
  • Must be able to work weekends
We are looking for someone that loves fashion and people and is looking to build a career in retail. The job involves customer service, selling, styling, stockroom work and processing deliveries, therefore you must be hardworking and able to use your initiative. Retail experience is essential and applicants must be able to work weekends.

Hours: 9.00am-5.30pm 5 days per week
 
Required Education, Skills and Qualifications
In order to be considered you must have at least *2 years Fashion Sales *experience.

  • Fashion Retail Sales: 2 years (Required)
  • Education: GCSE or equivalent (Required)
